Consequences

consequences definition: Something that logically or naturally follows from an action or condition

Consequences
For every action there is a reaction
A consequence to face
But those scars you cut
That’s where they stay
That woman you killed
Still lays buried in a grave
And yet, still now you stand afraid of the consequence you face
Though a motherless child
Bares the cross of those action
You now call a mistake
So she too lives with the consequence everyday
Years down the line
You’ve done your time
And you still can’t look at yourself in the mirror
Without seeing all your wrongs
Wrongs that no time can undo
Still living with the choices you made
The consequences,
 The price you’ll forever pay
For every action there is a reaction
But these actions are yours to take
So think before you cross that line
There is no cause without effect
So think before you cross that bridge
That the path you follow is not one with consequence and regret

Twin Poem

Inspiration For This Poem
I was inspired this poem because of the relationship I have with my twin sister. Like most sisters we have developed close bond over the year and I value her thoughts and opinions in my life. i wrote this poem for her as a representation of our relationship through my eyes.  I hope this poem captures the connection that twins/sisters can have. A feeling of love, friendship and trust that is developed in a sisterly relationship. An understanding of sisterhood - sisters by chance friends by choice

Twin Poem
Born on the same day,
Born of the same one,
Unique in our way,
Different yet the same,
“Can you hear each other’s thoughts?”
“Can you feel each other’s touch?”
People would make such a fuss
But it really didn’t bother us too much
A bond not easy to explain
It’s stronger than any friendship
Sisterly love in its highest form
Shoulder to shoulder together we walk
Step by step together we go
Hour on end together we talked
And when last hour has come
I can barely remember dear sister, where we began
There nothing about myself that you do not know
So many asked me, “Do you any feel different?”
I answer no
Its a lie I have frequently told
But why I lie I do not know
How could I not feel different?
Flip a coin and you could call it luck
Ask god and he’d say you were his gift to me
But no coin could decide
Nor no faith answer why
A puzzle of two halves
Without you twin there is no me
I look at you and see another version of me
And weather your in the next room
Or half way across the world
You always be in my corner
And I’ll always be in yours

You

Description Of Poem
a poem of love and how it can effected a person and poem that very close to my own heart. This poem tells a story of a person who has fallen in love with another, it gives a perspective of a relationship in which you can tell that one is undoubtedly and irreversibly in love with the other. I wanted to  show how a attraction and connection with someone can cause us to feel passion and exhilaration for another being to heighten degree. As affectionate and loving beings we look to find that same connection and compassion in someone else, which enables us to see there qualities and become attracted to them. In loving relationships are heart is often in control, this leave us exposed and vulnerable. Love allows us to give our heart, desire and trust to another person, which leave defenceless and open to hurt and pain, especially when those feelings are not reciprocated. This poem is a poem of love and heartbreak and shows how much of a thin line there is between the two.

YOU
From the moment we meet I knew you were the one for me.
You were my sweetheart,
You understood,
You listen when no one else would,
You held out your hands to catch me if I fell,
You gave me no doubt that if there was a problem
You where the one i could call,
When I was broken
It was you who mended me,
It was you who whispered word of sweet compassion
That would never fall upon deaf ears,
You sent those tingles down my spine,
You made me laugh
With those cheesy chat up lines,
You made the sun,
You made the star,
Just that much brighter, by being who you are,
You were more than I could of ever expected,
When the burden was heavy
And life was a blur
You put everything back in perspective,
You made me feel like you number one girl,
As cliché as it sounds
You made me feel like I was on top of the world,
And it funny quickly the world can come crumbling down
You left, no word, no reason, no explanation no sound,
You left no goodbyes,
You put these tear drops in my eyes,
You turned my blue into grey,
You turned the sun into a cloudy day,
You will move on and I will stay the fool,
You could never love me the way I will always love you.

Judgement

Description of poem
-definition of judgement- The capacity to form an opinion by distinguishing and evaluating
I wrote this poem to raise a issue that I know affected me and may affect others. Judgement of people is a way of the world and I understand that forming judgement about the people around is natural as we all form opinions on people sometimes without even knowing them. I believe there is a thin line in which judgement of others or forming an opinion of someone can become diminishing to their character in a negative way, such as how they look or personal decision they have made for themselves but it’s pointless to expect that people don't make judgement like these all the time. However I feel that line is crossed when people feel they have the right to inexplicable place judgement or label others by telling them, or enforcing your opinion on them unnecessarily (e.g ghetto, chav, ugly, stupid while you aren’t god nothing can make you qualified enough to past these judgements on other and if you think you are perhaps you want take a look at yourself and ask yourself  WHAT OTHERS MUST THINK OF YOU). for a while I allowed others judgement of me to effected in such a way that I try to change myself to please others but I soon realised  those people don't have the right to impose their view on me and I hope this poem demonstrates that.

JUDGEMENT
Judgement seem to be such a human trait
But humans are imperfect creatures
So should we be excused for placing our negative thoughts and judgement on anyone we choose?
Perhaps insecure with ourselves
Were always on the attack
Shooting out opinions as if they are facts
Starring eye they’re glaring
Glaring eyes they’re starring
Look around,
Now they’re judging me
Now won’t you tell me what your judging eyes see?
Yet your perception could cross as deception
Deluded in your beliefs
You have past them on,
Now your judgement becomes my judgement of me
Your imperfect self
Somehow expects perfection in everyone else
In your own way you stand and play god
But you’re at a lost, and you must play the fool to
Because there is a real god and he will be judging you to
be careful with your judgements, because judgement day will come
And those judging eyes will be judging you to

Who Am I?

Description of this poem?
when writing this poem I took the opportunity to ask myself the question who am I? at a time in my life where I was beginning to understand  about world and people around me. This gave me the chance to reflect on what makes me the person I am and to think about the person I was becoming and the person I would intend to become.  i believe if these two things match then that is healthy foundation to start to build the bricks that make  me the person i want to be. It is important for us as people to assess the world and people around us but to also take the time to evaluate and understand the person we are.
WHO AM I?
Someone one once asked me, who am I?
I turned to them and I replied
I'm just me, that's all I can be
Now I know that isn’t true
Take a look in the mirror, whose looking back at you,
I saw a beautiful courageous young lady, a little unsure, a little confused
But ask me who am I?
And I’ll be sure to tell you,
I'm whoever I want to be
I have my own dreams, I make my own destiny
Who am I?
I'm still finding out
Who am I?
that's something you ought to think about
Who am I?
Who are you?
